About this class

The Rocket is an uplifting series originally crafted by SF native Larry Schultz as a way of modifying traditional Ashtanga. The Rocket all levels and advanced classes are each challenging sequences involving fun/funky transitions with a focus on bhandas, breath and drishti. The Rocket is all about modification, self-expression, moving towards personal goals and calming the nervous system while strengthening the body and mind. This style was coined "The Rocket" because its techniques "get [students] there (to nirvana) faster". A Rocket All Levels class follows the basic outline of the advanced Rocket class while omitting most inversions and Sun Salutations for an emphasis on accessibility. This class is taught to all levels as it is an excellent class for everyone, from beginners to seasoned practitioners. Instructions will be given to learn a posture or transition from the most basic step to the most advanced expression of possibilities.

Not a bad class. Fairly straightforward and not a lot of explanation or instruction besides calling out the poses.

Nice instructor, but wasnt crazy @ the slow & repetitive sequence 1st 1/2 of class, & we held the downward dog poses for way too long. As someone with wrist issues, extended lengths of time in this pose are very painful.

Started off slow but turned into a really fun and challenging class!

I could definitely feel my muscles working during this class!

Fantastic workout! Still sore the next day, but in a good way that I know I was challenged. My only suggestion is that the instructor not *only* or predominantly use the Sanskrit terminology. Please just use the English words or a combo, so everyone can follow easily.
