About this class
Pilates is a body conditioning method that improves flexibility, muscle strength and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips and back. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing and developing a strong core or center and improving coordination and balance. Pilates' method allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advanced.

How to prepare
All you need for your first class at Xtend Barre Perth is a water bottle, comfy workout gear and a pair of grip socks. Grip socks can be purchased from the studio for $20 or bring your own. A new client form will need to be signed before your first class, please allow an extra five minutes to sort out the paperwork and to be introduced to your instructor who will give you a quick tour of the studio and set you up for class.
How to get there
Xtend Barre is located between Wellington and Murray Street, within 800m walking distance from the underground train station. Street parking within designated areas is free Monday to Saturday before 8am and after 6pm. Sunday is free before 12pm and after 6pm. Loading zones are not considered designated areas at any time. Closest paid parking is at His Majesties carpark, entrance on Murray Street. If you don't mind a short walk, the Elder Street carpark has cheaper mid week rates.
