About this class

Students must wear hand wraps and gloves which are available for purchase at the gym. Boxing, the puglistic art, promotes cardio vascular improvement, co-ordination ( Hand & Body) and improved punching technique. At Urban Kings Gym these concepts are enhanced by top level trainers who also aim to improve the defensive aspect of this noble art. All levels are catered for from beginner to advance.

Boxing
Really not great. Class was disorganised and instructor showed very little interest in our workouts. During sets I would expect the instructor to stay engaged with the class offering encouragement, pushing us further or helping right some technique errors. Instead she spent most of it on her phone clearly forgetting when the 2 minute timer was up (30s was over in less than 10s...). Additionally due to bad organisation, we didn't get to complete the whole circuit and considering the time we had this should not have been a problem. I like boxing and I was looking forward to this class but I couldn't help feeling disappointed. If an instructor expects your focus for a full hour, I would in turn expect it from them too.
Boxing
Technique focused class. Lacked variety. We did 3 different combos on pads with a very brief bit of fitness at the end. Not great if your partner can't hold pads properly
Boxing
Great class to improve your technique AND your stamina.

Class was ok but you need to have more then a few lessons of boxing as felt it was more an advanced classes . It very focused on boxing techniques and there wasn’t an introduction so felt very lost throughout the class. Was a good workout though
Boxing
Meh. I really really appreciated how technically focused the class was, but apart from that found it pretty underwhelming. There wasn’t a great variety of drills, almost no conditioning, and zero bag work. Also a male dominant class, which will fool you - my partner was a dude, and although he packed a hard punch, he had no idea what he was doing so it was a start stop scenario and constant need to explain things to him (despite him continuously correcting me on points that were not actually incorrect). I’d recommend the class for beginners, but otherwise try something else. I’d been looking forward to a heavy hard challenging workout, but barely broke a sweat. The guy at the front desk was also super rude and unhelpful

Great class!!!
Boxing
The teacher was brilliant! So patient and accommodating!!
Boxing
We should have been in the beginner class but the trainer was still helpful and gave my friends and I tips and easier moves to work with.
Boxing
Good class but more for intermediate level of boxing so if you’re a beginner maybe try something else to work up to this as it’s quite fast paced and if you want a good workout you’ll need to keep up with correct form etc.
