About this class
A dynamic fusion of pilates, ballet and fitness. The perfect transition from the mat or reformer to dynamic standing exercises. Our Barre method is a low impact, high intensity workout which combines standing pilates work, short cardio intervals and ballet dance moves. Don’t worry though, our class is accessible for ALL levels of fitness and ballet experience is not a requirement. With its flowing sequences, Barre promotes a strong, lean and graceful body with a feeling of balance and alignment. Barre is a brilliant compliment to standard pilates exercise. It provides the cardio workout we can miss out on if we do not regularly run or swim or if we have been prevented from such exercise due to injury. Petra, the creator of The Studio, found Barre life-changing when looking for an alternative to pounding the pavement and gym-based exercises which do not appeal to everyone. How to prepare
Please bring a water bottle (towel if you like). For Barre and Reformer classes, please wear grip socks (The Studio sells them for $16).
How to get there
There is a two hour free car park located behind the studio (left off Darling St and onto Merton St). The Studio is located upstairs of 'Tilly's Art Supplies' and is only accessible by stairs. Secure building, Prams can be left under the stairs. Take the thoroughfare between Tilly's and Rozelle Public School and ring the door bell!
