About this class

Yin Yoga is a passive style of yoga, associated with Chinese Meridian theory, in which poses are held for minutes at a time before releasing. Yin works at the level of connective tissues and promotes circulation along the energetic pathways. It releases deeply held tension below the musculature, boosts organ function, and promotes emotional wellness. It is an ideal complement to movement-based, yang-oriented activities.

Sona is lovely, but this wasn't my cup of tea as far as yin yoga goes. It was more active and used hardly any props, whereas I prefer a super relaxing yin style with lots of bolsters and blankets.

Sons is great. Feel so limber and ready to take on the week.

Sona was a good instructor but it was hard to focus with people walking by and the audible class in another room. it's separated by drapes only, and thats not conducive to relaxation. Was hoping for more guided meditation around the practice. Felt a bit staccato moving from pose to pose at times.

Class was so relaxing for the most part and instructor was amazing. Only complaint is the loud conversations that occur in the hallway or right outside the class that make it hard concentrate and relax.

Please encourage people to stay home when they are super sick. I had a woman coughing in my face. This has happened to me several times at this studio and last time I fell violently ill.

I'm so sorry to hear this! Of course we always encourage people to stay home when they're sick. But, they're not always telling us they are. :(

Sona is an excellent instructor -- unfortunately the studio was noisy and not very conducive to relaxation during the class. But five stars for Sona!

What is ClassPass?
