About this class

An ideal class for clients that are new to the Method and for experienced clients that want a truly focused work out. This class allows for time to assimilate the name and basic alignment principles for each exercise. There are less variations taught and more holds and cuing so that clients can truly understand each position, why they are doing it and how to refine their own alignment within each exercise. This is incredibly beneficial for education for the newer clients and for experienced clients to improve their own practice.

How to prepare

Just bring YOU! Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in. Preferably not too loose or baggy so teachers are able to see your alignment and form. Socks are required, and you can also purchase grip socks at the studio.

How to get there

The studio is conveniently located in the heart of the Cow Hollow/Marina. This location was the first Dailey Method studio and the first barre of its kind in SF. Founded in 2001, The Dailey Method has now expanded to nearly 70 locations worldwide. Classes maintain their deep roots in traditional and challenging barre, yet are constantly evolving and dynamic in movements and variations. The studio offers three types of class formats: Dailey Barre, Interval (faster paced) and Fusion (an hourlong combination of Barre and Interval)

Dailey Basics with Kiley
Definitely felt like the healthist bar class I've tried. Movements were challenging but still felt natural, and I loved the focus on proper alignment. Kiley was a sweetheart and super encouraging and went around giving corrections which was much appreciated! As a side note I'll mention that this studio also felt a lot less pretentious than others in the area which was nice.

Dailey Basics with Aurora
Lots of focus on abs and arms, could benefit from more leg and seat work. Definitely good for beginners but not rigorous enough for anyone who has done other types of barre before.
