About this class

Strength training helps prevent injury by strengthening muscles, increasing bone density and has been proven to increase metabolic rate. This class is 50 minutes of action, play, and a lot of hard work! Fitness equipment may include stability balls, gliding disks, bands, rubber balls, dumb bells and body bars. As this is an intermediate/advanced class, be prepared for more reps, heavier weights, more complex moves and more sweat dripping down your neck at the end of it! Come prepared wearing workout attire, sneakers, and have a water bottle on hand.The class is as challenging as you make it, modifications are available as you need them - speak with the instructor beforehand if there are any injuries he/she should be aware of. *Space is limited so be sure to reserve your spot in advance!

How to prepare

Please bring a bottle of water. Filtered water is available at the studio and towel service is provided. Their Schwinn Carbon Blue® bikes accommodate both LOOK and SPD clips. Baskets can also be clipped into any of their bikes if you come with regular athletic shoes or you can rent spinning shoes for $3. Indo-Row requires the student to wear tennis shoes. Core Barre is taken barefoot.

Tara's class was awesome. It challenged me and it was a great total body workout. I am very out of shape and it was hard but Tara was energetic, funny, and kept us motivated throughout the workout. She urged us to push ourselves without being a drill Sargent. It was a mix of HIT, plyometrics and light weights. Also a bit of yoga mixed in there. I will take this class again . I also loved the music.
