Balance & Restore (Restorative Yoga) at Restore Meditation
About this class
Suitable for all levels. Our bodies have an innate ability to relax given the right circumstances. Restorative yoga uses a series of easy, supported poses to shift from “fight or flight” mode into 'rest and digest.". The perfect balance of ancient wisdom and modern science, restorative yoga has immediate effects on reducing heart rate, blood pressure and calming our brain activity. This 60-minute class starts off with 15 minutes of asanas connecting the breath with movement to warm up the body to work on balance and flexibility. The class will move into 45 minutes of gentle movement followed by restorative poses to relax the body and quiet the mind. Students are encouraged to bring a mat but mats are also available to rent a mat for $2/class. All bodies experiences, abilities and experiences welcome.
