About this class

Pilates is both strength and flexibility training, which are two out of the three pieces of the fitness equation. The emphasis in pilates is placed on the abdominals and related core muscles to help support proper posture and alignment during the workout. We strive in every workout to exercise the entire body, paying close attention to proper placement and alignment. We strive to challenge each person at their own level, and tailor the workouts to the individual. Group classes are kept small so that everyone receives personal attention. Pilates can be done by just about anyone- from the injured, out-of-shape, or older population, to the elite athlete. It is a great way to become and stay fit on its own, but also can be used in any fitnes

How to prepare

Wear comfortable clothes and clean socks. Studio Policies: Please do not wear any fragrances. Please do not interrupt sessions that are in progress. Keep voices low while waiting. Cell phones must be turned off. No shoes on the studio floor.

How to get there

They're located at: 15122 Ventura Blvd, Suite 101(rear) Sherman Oaks, CA 91403. They are in the BACK OF THE BUILDING. Go down the driveway with the yellow computer sign. They only have two parking spaces, which are next to the building. There is metered parking in the neighborhood and free street parking on Greenleaf St, 2 blocks south of Ventura Blvd. Please leave ample time to find parking and the studio!

Christina is phenomenal, be assured you will be in the proper alignment because she will adjust your to reassure your targeting the area as well as preventing you from overextending. I cant wait for my next session. I have had previous back surgeries and after leaving the class, the only thing that hurt was caused from the core ab soreness from the workout. Sign up for a class!

Christina is excellent! I've been taking pilates for a while now and she introduced me to some new exercises. She's tough yet patient, and very funny. The class went by quickly because we were having fun!

Im ashamed to say I was a bit skeptical when I walked in - Ive gotten way too used to all the hip, trendy, flashy studios in LA. The reformers are basic and easy to navigate. The workout was slow but challenging and extremely well-rounded. Christina really knows perfect form. Couldve used some music though!
