How to prepare

For your first class at Reformation Fitness, please arrive 10 minutes early to sign a waiver, familiarize yourself with the studios and facility, as well as get a chance to speak to the instructor ahead of the class regarding any limitations, injuries or modifications needed. All classes are 14 members (or less) per room, so please feel free to ask questions regarding modifications, progressions, form & technique, and/or different weight/resistance levels needed. Please be courteous and respectful of all others during class. Thank you!

How to get there

Reformation Fitness - Shaw/Convention Center conveniently located in the heart of DC's Historic Shaw District. They're within a 10-15 minute walk from many surrounding neighborhoods -- including Logan Circle, U Street, Bloomingdale, Shaw, Mt. Vernon Triangle, Thomas Circle, and Gallery Place/Chinatown. Street parking is available and can be paid for via ParkMobile. The Convention Center/Mt. Vernon Metro Station (Green/Yellow lines) is one block away.

Full disclosure, I am not a yogi. Working on liking it, but not there yet. This class didn’t bring me any closer unfortunately. It was hard for me to follow as the instructor wasn’t doing the poses (and I went to the front hoping to get a good view) but then had no one to follow.

I really enjoyed this class, the instructor, and the sequence. One reasons I docked a star was at the start of class the music from the spin class downstairs was so loud, the floor was shaking. Its hard to find zen with the bass so loud from another room for a good 15 min. My other piece of constructive feedback is I would keep the room just a little bit warmer. It was hard to break a sweat with how cold it was.

The instructor showed me some really great stuff. I think the gym should consider not having cycling and yoga happening at the same time. It was really noisy.
