About this class

A unique blend of vinyasa yoga and reformer pilates. Each class begins with sun salutations to boost your heart rate and metabolism. The core of the class is spent on strength training on the reformer with an emphasis on abs and smooth, flowing motions. You'll explore deep stretching both on and off the machine to cool down. And, like any yoga class the final 5 minutes are reserved for deep relaxation, which is fundamental in allowing the body to benefit fully from the practice. The entire class is timed to energizing and inspiring music, so come ready to have fun while you sweat, tone, and let go.

How to prepare

For your first class at Reformation Fitness, please arrive 10 minutes early to sign a waiver, familiarize yourself with the studios and facility, as well as get a chance to speak to the instructor ahead of the class regarding any limitations, injuries or modifications needed. All classes are 14 members (or less) per room, so please feel free to ask questions regarding modifications, progressions, form & technique, and/or different weight/resistance levels needed. Please be courteous and respectful of all others during class. Thank you!

How to get there

Reformation Fitness - Shaw/Convention Center conveniently located in the heart of DC's Historic Shaw District. They're within a 10-15 minute walk from many surrounding neighborhoods -- including Logan Circle, U Street, Bloomingdale, Shaw, Mt. Vernon Triangle, Thomas Circle, and Gallery Place/Chinatown. Street parking is available and can be paid for via ParkMobile. The Convention Center/Mt. Vernon Metro Station (Green/Yellow lines) is one block away.

LOVE the concept but the class was just okay. Music didn’t match, reformer didn’t feel as effective and seamless as other classes at Reformation. Would try it again

The actual class was good, but there were multiple scheduling issues (client’s fault) that prevented the instructor from starting on time. This definitely could have been avoided if there was someone at the front desk to help sort it out. Instead, everyone was scrambling around and the rest of us just had to wait awkwardly.
