About this class

Ra Strength 2 is similar to Strength as it harmonizes the practice of yoga and the benefits of weight lifting. The added weight provides the resistance needed to strengthen, tone, and improve a regular yoga practice. This class also adds more heat and increases cardio movement. This class is great for students who love high energy yoga with cardio intervals.

How to prepare

Yoga mats and towels are available for rent but all students are encouraged to bring their own to class. Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottle as well so they can be refilled with their free Reverse Osmosis. Water and other beverages are available for purchase.

How to get there

If this is your first time at Ra, please arrive 15 minutes early, as there's an additional waiver for you to sign. FROM WAHOOS: Park by Wahoos Fish Tacos. Walk into the Irvine Spectrum using "Entry #5." Turn left at the Sephora, we will be on your right hand side 3 suites down from Gorjana FROM TARGET/APPLE STORE: Park in Target parking Lot. Walk past Target, Apple Store & H&M. Store will be on the left hand side, 5 suites in under the second light canopy.

I don’t know why they wouldn’t say “heated” in this class description, bc it is. I came completely unprepared without a towel and a change of clothes and to make matters worse, the staff did not offer me one nor show me where to grab weights after I told them this was my first class. They had us doing things like burpees which you should just never do in a super-crowded room that’s been heated to a bikram temperature while everyone is sliding all over their mats. It was plain dangerous. The instructor seemed stoned bc he made us do multiple sets on one side and completely forgot about the other side. Not going back here anytime soon.

Good class, but was more of an intense boot camp style rather than a strength yoga class

Issac led a class that was a killer workout! The song choices seemed pretty off for a Strength class, it was hard to get in the groove with mellow low key music.
