How it works

About this class

Ra Strength harmonizes the practice of yoga and the benefits of weight lifting. The student flows through a yoga sequence practiced with light weights in hands. The added weight provides the resistance needed to strengthen, tone, and improve a regular yoga practice. Please make sure to arrive early to class or your spot may be given away.

Instructor was motivating and funny! The workout was amaze!

I’ve never left a review in my life, but I left this class pretty frustrated. I’m a 29 y/o male in good shape. I’m also 2 years post ankle surgery and was introduced to yoga through rehab. I’m definitely not advanced but good enough to move beyond beginner classes. I’ve been doing vinyasa level 2 classes, sometimes at Ra, which I like a lot. I gave this class a try, expecting Vinyasa with weights through certain movements. Instead, I experienced something more along the lines of Barry’s Bootcamp. I realize yoga isn’t in the class name, but given the description and being at a yoga studio, I imagined more yoga influence than just shavasana and downward dog. I also wouldn’t describe it as a beginner’s class. It’s definitely a great workout. Just don’t go expecting yoga, like I did.

Great workout!

Good workout but too many planks. My shoulders don’t need that much work. Would have liked equal upper and lower body exercises.

Instructor was excellent.

Pretty hard class. Not very hot

Really great work out! However its more like a barre class than yoga. So not as much of flow and stretching as Id expect it to be. But I enjoy it a lot and Ill go back for it.

The instructors energy was great and overall the class was the perfect level of challenging. However, the first come first serve thing makes class extremely crowded because theres pretty much no limit with how many people are allowed in the room and youre pretty squished together.

I loved this studio so much!! Juliet at the front desk was so welcoming and showed me around. The instructor was amazing and it was easy to follow along with her. Just what I needed!

Great way to begin the morning. Poses were challenging yet doable. Perfect Level 1 Strength!
