About this class

As long as you can hold a ballet barre, you can do Pure Barre. That’s not to say that it’s easy, your first class will likely feel challenging at times, but they encourage you to stick with it. Try your hardest and let loose and feel free to ask your instructor plenty of questions after class if you weren't clear on any of the moves.

How to prepare

1.New students must arrive 15 mins early to fill out paperwork, regardless of having been to other Pure Barres 2.We cannot accommodate anyone who is late 3.Pants, legging or capris (no shorts) + top that covers midriff + socks required 4.Shoes & cell phones are not allowed in studio 5.Please let the instructor know of any injuries 6.Pregnant students: always consult with your doctor before beginning a new exercise routine and alert your teacher for modifications

How to get there

The studio is located at 412 Columbus Ave btwn 79th and 80th streets. Please make sure to arrive early as clients will not be let into class once the class has begun.

Least favorite PB location - they overpack (I was more concerned about not hitting someone than the workout and had to do the cool down underneath the water fountain) and the people at the front desk are a little abrasive.

I have taken many bar classes and for some reason pure barre didn’t do it for me this time. I didn’t break a sweat or feel a burn. Perhaps it was a beginner class. The lights were so bright too. Just not the best class. Instructor was super friendly and sweet though. If your looking for a good beginner bar class this was one

What is ClassPass?
