About this class

As long as you can hold a ballet barre, you can do Pure Barre. Any age, fitness level, or experience level! That’s not to say that it’s easy, your first class will feel challenging at times, but we encourage you to stick with it. Try your hardest and let loose and feel free to ask your instructor plenty of questions after class if you weren't clear on any of the moves. Pure Barre takes about 4-6 classes to get the hang of the technique, so commit to coming a few times to develop a deep understanding and ultimately see results more quickly! We require socks that cover your foot entirely, capri-length or longer pants (no shorts), and a tank that covers your midriff. We can't wait to have you in the studio soon!

How to prepare

1. New students must arrive 15 mins early to fill out paperwork, regardless of having been to other Pure Barres 2. They cannot accommodate anyone who is late. 3. Pants, legging or capris (no shorts) + top that covers midriff + socks required (no open-toed socks, shoes, or barefoot) 4. Shoes & cell phones are not allowed in studio 5. Please let the instructor know of any injuries 6. Pregnant clients: always consult with your doctor before beginning a new exercise routine

The staff at the studio was friendly and welcoming. Brittany, the instructor was thorough, encouraging, and helped me work on my form. The class was both fun and challenging. This was my first Barre class and I’m sure that I’ll be back again.

Fine if you’re into that sort of thing. I would try barre again but this class wasn’t for me. One of those workout classes where the instructor tells you through a mic “okay now plank! and one, and two,....”, then talks to a student and leaves the class in plank position for way too long. Also, why tell students to wear socks if the floor is slippery with socks on? You have to buy their sticky socks to actually have a good experience. Just let students wear shoes or go barefoot on yoga mats. It didn’t make sense to me.

Brittany is excellent. The class is challenging in a really unexpected way but I love that we stretched along the way. The 50 min felt short, which is one of the highest compliments I can give.

Rachel was incredible! The workout was difficult, but she did a great job of changing up what part of the body we used to avoid fatigue. She fixed my form whenever it was off which I really appreciated. Loved the class!
