About this class
Yoga nidra, known as lucid sleeping, is a deep state of relaxation while staying fully conscious. The practice provides the healing benefits of sleep as students lie restfully on their mats. During a yoga nidra class, expect to be gently guided to unwind in ways that reduce anxiety and increase mental clarity. This brings an incredible calmness and quietness that leads to more stillness and insight. Our old stories and habits start to melt away. Class begins with a 15-minute slow flow, and then students lie down on their backs to start the resting process. Bring a blanket or thick bath towel for extra comfort. Class is warm and open to all levels.

How to prepare
Bring a yoga mat, water and towel and wear fitted, moisture-wicking exercise clothes. Remember that every single person in class had a first hot yoga class once. Though yoga may seem unfamiliar at first, try to leave your ego at the door and let yourself be a beginner. Yoga is a practice, but every person in the room is there for the same reason: yoga makes us feel better. Every PFY studio offers Warm Vinyasa Basics classes. In these classes, you will break down common vinyasa yoga poses and learn modifications so you feel empowered and safe.
How to get there
Powerflow Yoga's flagship studio is located at 254 Main St in Chatham, NJ. They are in the heart of downtown Chatham, right across the street from Gregorio’s Mediterranean and the Chatham Sandwich Shop.
