About this class
This class is designed to cultivate and improve your source of core power and strength. During each class you will focus on developing a strong and clear practice of anchoring to foundation to find a rooted place between steadiness and ease, contraction and expansion. You will also learn to engage and integrate the key muscles of support that take you more deeply into each pose; skillfully connect to the constant state of support in your life both on and off the mat.

How to prepare
Bring a yoga mat, water and towel and wear fitted, moisture-wicking exercise clothes. Remember that every single person in class had a first hot yoga class once. Though yoga may seem unfamiliar at first, try to leave your ego at the door and let yourself be a beginner. Yoga is a practice, but every person in the room is there for the same reason: yoga makes us feel better. Every PFY studio offers Warm Vinyasa Basics classes. In these classes, you will break down common vinyasa yoga poses and learn modifications so you feel empowered and safe.
How to get there
Powerflow Yoga Bloomfield is located at 71 Washington St., just a few steps away from the Bloomfield train station. They are in the heart of downtown Bloomfield, right above everybody’s favorite lunch spot Anthony’s Cheesecake. There is a metered parking lot right behind the studio, but your best option is the parking garage right out front for just $1 per hour. On Sundays, however, the metered lots are free all day.
