About this class

High Intensity Interval Training targeting arms and abs. You're guaranteed to sweat, burn fat and leave feeling amazing! This class is for all fitness levels. 27 minutes! GRIP-SOLED SOCKS are MANDATORY for ALL classes at PLATEFIT. We sell socks at the studio. If you choose to forfeit your class because of the grip-sock policy, please be aware that it will be marked as a "missed" class.

HIIT-FIT (Arms/Abs) - Vibration Training with Ilia
Disappointed. The instructor starts the class immediately after the other finishes. She doesn’t ask if anyone had injuries. I have had 6 surgeries and she sees me just standing there unable to do a good amount of the exercises. She comes over to hand me weights, I tell her I’ve had 4 hand surgeries and can’t do these exercises and she actually just walks away. Doesn’t try to give me modifications, nothing, just walks away.

We're so sorry that you didn't have a good experience! Since our classes are 27 minutes, it is a quick turnaround from class to class. We will definitely pass along that information to the instructor and we apologize that you had trouble figuring out modifications for your exercises. We hope you'll come back to class and give it another try!

Awesome workout but instructor can barley be bothered to properly demonstrate the moves or correct wrong form.

The teacher was fantastic! Really paid attention to form so we didnt get hurt but was also super encouraging!

I understand the glass is early, but it really translates into the work out when the instructor is in a bad mood. He mumbled instructions, didnt smile/had low energy, and made me feel inadequate when I didnt understand what he was asking us to do. I enjoy Platefit but will not be taking this instructor again.

Music was amazing. Instructor was comprehensive but not terribly warm. The office attendant was kind enough to show me the machine and how it works before class started, but still think it wouldve been nice for the instructor to ask my name, especially because I was new and its such an intimate class with only 7 students at a time. The actual workout is challenging, but the vibrations take a second to get used to.

How to prepare

Who’s PLATEFIT designed for? Anyone! (who isn't pregnant) At PLATEFIT they believe fitness looks different on every body. PLATEFIT tips: Feels like the very first time? We recommend at least 3 classes to acclimate your body to vibration. Grip Soled Socks are required & available at the studios for $15. First Time clients- please arrive 15 min early so the staff can give you the PLATEFIT vibrational down low. They allow a grace period of 3 mins. Arrival after 3 mins will result in the loss of your spot if a Wait List client is present.

How to get there

PLATEFIT WEST HOLLYWOOD suggests arriving 15 min. early to find proper parking. Meter parking is available on weekends. Weekdays find 2 hours free parking along Kings Road and neighboring streets. Street cleaning Monday and Tuesdays. Next door to Kings Road Cafe. Cross streets Kings Road and Beverly Blvd. If you arrive early for your class and the door is closed or the class in session is full please enjoy the fresh air and sunshine in our front awning space until your class start time.
