Unleash your rock-band dreams in this addictive fusion of movement and drumming. This full-body cardio jam session combines lightly weighted exercise drumsticks called Ripstix® with constant simulated drumming. Expect a mix of cardio, Pilates, isometric poses and plyometrics that will strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles and help you sculpt your body while rocking out to great music.

Good class to have fun and dance so you get to do a little bit of cardio but its not intense enough to burn a lot of calories or even tone muscle but it’s still fun though so good for people who are new to cardio and want to do an easy fun class

This class was SO FUN. So energizing and a great stress reliever to smack the sticks together! Maureen was awesome and explained all the moves before doing them. I'll definitely be taking more pound classes!

Maureen is the best! I was the only one that signed up for the class and I was so LUCKY!! Maureen gave me one on one attention trained me in the different choreography to rock music and it was a really fun time, personalized, and I felt I gained so much improvement on the movements& burned alot of calories! Shes the best!

I can not believe that I only just tried this class! It was so much fun& challenging at the same time that you do not even realize that you are burning crazy calories. I know I will be sore tomorrow! But for real, I tried other dance geared fitness class and yes they are fun cardio but they are not that hard as with this class, I needed several water breaks! Im hooked! It can also be a great way to burn off a bad day or anger, like with boxing, as you literally are aggressively hitting the floor over and over again, Cant wait to do it again!

I really like Philly Dance Fitness and have taken several different classes there. From my perspective here are the pros and cons of the POUND class... Pros: Really good leg/butt workout (tons of squats plus ab work with leg raises involved). There were lots of options to modify the movements to make the workout tougher or easier. I liked the instructor (Lehla) because she had great energy and was very nice. The music was upbeat and energizing, and the concept of the class is something different and fun. Cons: The drum sticks make a lot of noise; during some parts of the class it was uncomfortably loud. Despite the fact that I closely followed all form/body position instructions, the class stressed my back--my back started hurting about an hour after class and still hurts the next day. Because of the loud sticks and the stress on my back, I think this class isn't the best fit for me, but there were some people in the class who were clearly regulars and love the class.

Great cardio and super fun. Lots of squats! Lehla was encouraging, fun, and gave great instruction on form. Will be back.

Great, great class. The movements look easy, but your body tells you otherwise after you are done. I will definitely take it again!

Great work out, and time flies when you are air drumming your way through. Lehla was upbeat and friendly, taking time to explain how to do the moves.

1 star bc the instructor was a really nice woman, but it was the most ghetto class. Don't know what the mixup was, but it was announced casually that this was a power sculpt class, not the pound fitness one I signed up for. It was the most awkward mix of Zumba, kickboxing, and bootcamp. The floor and bathroom was dirty, and I was on the most disgusting mat ever. I wouldn't want to take another class again from this company.
