About this class

Unleash your rock-band dreams in this addictive fusion of movement and drumming. This full-body cardio jam session combines lightly weighted exercise drumsticks called Ripstix® with constant simulated drumming. Expect a mix of cardio, Pilates, isometric poses and plyometrics that will strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles and help you sculpt your body while rocking out to great music.

How to prepare

For dance fitness programs, dance sneakers, jazz shoes or supportive shoes are recommended. Ballet slippers, socks or bare feet are best for ballet, barre and contemporary classes. While most classes do not require equipment, mats are provided for classes in which there is a floor work component. Of course, you are also welcome to bring a mat of your own!

The map on the Class Pass & Mindbody apps shows the company's flagship Rittenhouse location (1624 South St), but they also hold classes in Midtown (1301 Locust St. 2nd Floor), South Philly (1170 S. Broad St.) and Fairmout (2511 W Girard Ave.). Good class to have fun and dance so you get to do a little bit of cardio but its not intense enough to burn a lot of calories or even tone muscle but it’s still fun though so good for people who are new to cardio and want to do an easy fun class

This class was SO FUN. So energizing and a great stress reliever to smack the sticks together! Maureen was awesome and explained all the moves before doing them. I'll definitely be taking more pound classes!

Maureen is the best! I was the only one that signed up for the class and I was so LUCKY!! Maureen gave me one on one attention trained me in the different choreography to rock music and it was a really fun time, personalized, and I felt I gained so much improvement on the movements& burned alot of calories! Shes the best!

What is ClassPass?
