Yin Yoga (75 mins) at Perth Yoga for Everybody
About this class
This 1 hour 15 minutes class is a breath-centred, restorative practice, working deep into inter-connective tissue where emotions and trauma is stored. Yin Yoga is the passive relaxing of the muscles to allow the joints and bones to 'fall apart' and the spine to stretch in holds that last for 3 - 8 minutes. The practice focuses primarily on the hips, and inter-connective tissue between the bones and muscles below the hips, to prepare practitioners for deeper muscular tension release and meditative practices and the de-stress the mind in a very different way to a dynamic/flow routine or static asanas where the muscles are active. For most people, its simply a way to find calm in the discomforts and tensions we hold in our bodies and to let go of it. We end with a guided relaxation, so you will be ready to start your week with a sense of well-being and joy in your body and mind, revitalised for the week ahead. We have mats, blankets and blocks should you need them but bringing your own mat or towel is encouraged. See you at your mat :)

How to prepare
All attendees must sign a Liability Waiver and Registration Form, prior to class to redeem their ticket reservation. You can do this here: https://tinyurl.com/perthyogasignup Please bring your own mat or towel and wear loose, comfy clothes. We have spare mats and blocks you can borrow. It is recommended that you avoid eating less than 3 hours prior to classes and to apply sunscreen and cover up to avoid UV rays.
