About this class

Come experience the purity of this ancient yoga practice on which all other styles of yoga are based. The Ashtanga primary series consists of a set sequence of poses, each held for 5 breaths, that systematically warm and open the body as each posture prepares for the one to come. You will be lead through a modified version of the primary series beginning with sun salutations and ending with svasana that will include the breath count, gentle hands-on adjustments, humor and lots of encouragement. Accessible and appropriate for all levels!

How to prepare

We' re pretty casual at Peace through Yoga. Wear comfortable yoga or exercise clothes. Your instructor will ask you if you have injuries or limitations and may offer alignment cues adjustments to help you gain the most from each pose. You are welcome to use Peace through Yoga's mats, blocks and all other yoga props at no additional charge. If you have your own mat and props, we encourage you to bring them to class.

Peace through Yoga - Speedway | 1032 Main St. South end of Main Street next to Charlie Brown's. Free parking on Main Street, in the lot next door to us, and on neighborhood streets. Peace through Yoga - Danville | 134 S. Washington St. Southwest corner of the courthouse in the tiny historic red brick building. Free parking on street. Peace Through Yoga - Franklin | 229 S Main St. Located south of the historic courthouse in the same building as Richard's Brick Oven Pizza. Lots of free parking.

What is ClassPass?
