Amazing! She is very understanding of people with no dance experience. Very technical and a good workout!
Fundamentals-Ballet, Barre and Beyond with Caroline
Omg I love Caroline. I have only done a little ballet for fun. I did some ballet when I was younger and then two years in college. I’m more of a technical person so I liked stuff at the barre. Such a good workout and really fun as well.

The class was a basics in actual ballet. If you have no dancing background I wouldnt recommend it. Not much cardio, a bunch of feet positioning, and arm movements.

best adult ballet class I have attended

Great class. instructor knowledgeable and gives corrections.

This is very much a ballet-focused class! I would not recommend to someone who has zero ballet experience. However, I hadnt been to a ballet class for nearly 6 years before going, and its came back to me fairly quickly. Lots of barre work with a bit of floor work. I enjoyed it!!
Fundamentals-Ballet, Barre and Beyond with Caroline
I did ballet as a kid, but I was concerned about the difficulty level after reading through some of the reviews. I agree that experience probably makes the class easier to follow, since ballet is full of special terms. That said, the instructor asked me about my experience level beforehand and helped make it less intimidating. She also demonstrates everything so you don't have to know the French terminology. It takes a lot of energy to sustain graceful positions, so this was a different sort of workout from my usual go-to. Perfect for toning, stretching, and all-around challenging myself in new ways. For my first time, I was allowed to be in socks or barefoot, but ballet shoes would be a worthy investment if you intend to go regularly. tl;dr - experience appreciated but not necessary. ballet shoes are pretty important, and wear a tank and yoga pants if you dont have a leotard so the teacher can see your form better (as opposed to a baggy shirt)

Loved taking a classical ballet class. Definitely made me sweat, although I think the class ended a little early.

The instructor was really sweet and professional. Great workout, but I would only recommend it if you have some dance experience, as there was a lot of technical instruction.

This is a straight ballet class. But it was great! Love that dance classes are offered on classpass. More please!
