About this class

YOGA CLASS: One of the most important lessons to be learned from yoga is the art of balance. Physical balance is an important part of this style but it also helps to balance emotions, and calm the mind. Yang/Yin seeks to give you a little of everything as it includes 30 minutes of intense, dynamic poses followed by 30 minutes of soft, gentle stretching. This style is truly "the best of both worlds". What to bring: -Yoga mat + towel (Limited rentals available) -Water bottle There are no late entry and please arrive 15 minutes prior to class.

How to prepare

Please bring a yoga mat and full length mat towel. All items are available to purchase and there are limited rentals at the studio as well!

How to get there

They are right beside Sina Pharmacy & Organic Juice Bar on Smithe (in between Richards and Seymour). There is plenty of metered street parking on Richards or 3 large parking lots on the same block. They are right in the middle of Granville or Yaletown skytrain stations. They do not have designated studio parking.

nice easy stretch and really hot studio. the instruction was a bit hard to follow though so I had to watch the instructor a lot.

holding eagle pose for 2 mins isn't my idea of yin yoga... and I found some of the instructions confusing.

The instructor was good but this studio is a bit strange. The studio is quite small and crowded, the classes were back to back not leaving enough time to properly clean the sweat off the floor and there is a bathroom oddly placed directly off of the yoga room. Students use it throughout class and it was just very odd.

Good stretch but the class was a little weird. The teacher is really weird.

The instructor wasn't a great communicator - I was finding that everyone around me was needing to pop up and look at what she was doing in order to follow along, whereas most yoga teachers are able to communicate effectively enough that people know what to do without having to see an example. The class was also so full that many of the stretches weren't actually achievable, as we were encroaching on other people's mats, touching each other etc. Usually Oxygen is great but last night didn't live up to the usual standards.

Great class, but packed like sardines. Unable to get to full extent of the poses because your neighbour is so close.
