About this class

Whacking Wednesdays, is a community building initiative  founded by Punker | Activist Christopher Scott Caldwell and the team over at Ovations Global Network INC. Whacking Wednesdays provides Florida's thriving underground dance community and beyond a weekly "Queer Safe Space" dedicated to the preservation of 60s 70s and 80s underground music and dance cultures.  This addictive and transformative Pose | Whack | Revive workshop is taught by What The Punk Fest founder Christopher Scott Caldwell. www.WTPunk.com  All ages, genders, kweens, kings, queers and in betweens are encouraged to come join this rare and bona fide resource for education and preservation of the street styles born of the 60's, 70's, and 80's— how they're done, and how to teach them. This workshop also serves to honor dances born from the LGBTQ community by offering a local platform to learn the rich history behind the culture, the people, their struggle, and their impact on the arts and society as we know it today.
