About this class

Feel oh so good after this relaxing and restorative (no-flow) yoga practice. This class generally moves through 5-10 poses supported by props, very little movement is required. RESTORE offers supportive postures using lots of props and cushions to ease your body into a state of pure bliss. note: doors close at 3 minutes past start time, no late entries accepted.

RESTORE with Bobbi
I know restorative classes are supposed to be more chill but this class disappointed me. We did like six poses the entire class, two of which were fetal position on either side, one was supported Childs pose and the other was savasana. Any physical good that we would have gotten was taken away by the fact that they were all supported by props. I was really hoping for some heart openers and hip openers and back bends. I am especially bummed because my friend came with me, and he basically paid $22 to take a nap, not in his own comfy bed with clean sheets and pillows, but on a hardwood floor with bolsters and blankets full of strangers’ sweat and skin cells. I was embarrassed that this was his yoga experience. I had been looking forward to gently wringing my body out after a long week and I definitely left more annoyed than when I came in. The only reason I’m not giving it one star is because Bobbi is such a sweet heart. But this was a meditation class, not yoga. I wanted yoga.
Response from the studio:
SO sad to hear you didn't enjoy the class. It sounds like what you're looking for is YIN - which we also have:) RESTORE is exactly as you described - that's what restorative yoga is - it's more about a nervous system reset than a physical practice. The class was freezing and poorly taught. I know its restorative, but might as well have slept on my couch.

Super chill- amazing way to begin the week

Class flew by and was calming but I wish there was more stretching involved. Felt like variations on shavasana.
Response from the studio:
Hey there, If you're looking for more stretching we'd recommend checking out a CHILL or Yin class:) RESTORE consists of passive relaxation postures as you described. Look forward to seeing you in class soon!

Its always the best class

This is a very very slow class

This was like guided napping (several people fell asleep and snores loudly). It was relaxing but I wish there had been like 3-5 more poses, we held the poses for 5+ minutes each.
RESTORE with Kim
very relaxing but limited poses and the space is too loud outside to be truly meditative.

Deliciously calming.

Maybe more yin stretches could be incorporated as well? Supper relaxing :)
Response from the studio:
Hey there, Restorative yoga is definitely different from yin, but we do also offer a yin class on Mondays at 9pm if that's something you're looking for! Check it out:) Hope to see you in class soon!
