About this class

In this class you will be guided though a modified version of the “Ashtanga Half Primary Series.” Ashtanga yoga is a very flowing dynamic form of yoga which is aimed at creating inner heat to purify the body. Through the synchronization of breath and movement, known as “Vinyasa”, you will perform your “Asanas”, meaning physical posture, to attain a state of meditation and inner calm. The flowing movements strengthen the muscles, promotes mobility and concentration. The teacher will add, remove, or modify some postures based on the general makeup and abilities of the students in the class. Also you will be introduced to key elements of the practice like chanting, drishti, pranayama, and the traditional count, in a comfortable and accepting environment. This class is suited for everybody. Beginners are welcome.
