BUILD50 with olukemi
Instructor didn’t provide the general plan for the class or say anything about how long intervals would be, which made pacing yourself difficult. I also didn’t find her particularly motivating - I think 90% of the sentences she spoke were “push yourselfff, don’t give uuuupppp” (with that inflection), which got pretty old pretty quickly. I found the workout a little too challenging and receptive on certain muscles for someone who is just starting out strength training, and the instructor offered minimal variations for exercises - honestly was a little concerned I might hurt myself. She also didn’t ask about any injuries, which I’ve had asked to me in almost every exercise class I’ve been to - cardio, strength, toning, etc.

Bring Andrew back! Victor can be downright rude. Gets angry when we aren’t moving into moves fast enough, but literally spends 5 seconds explaining them in between moves.

michen is my favorite instructor by far. a great mix of tabata and strength exercises.

Not my favorite instructor. Don’t know if he couldn’t handle the large class or what, but the only time he interacted with me was a high five at the end. This is even when I clearly couldn’t do the move he barely explained while we were moving back and forth between TRX and kettlebells. Didn’t help with modifications, and I’m now sitting on my couch with ice on my knee because of all the jump squats and burpeees.

Devlins BUILD50 class is fantastic - its a tough workout and he moves you through everything at a great, consistent pace. His class is almost entirely a TRX class, whereas other instructors BUILD50 classes use more free weights. I love it!

Lots of TRX with jump rope for cardio. Francella packs in more rapid circuits using heavier weights, while Michen does longer circuits, so you do more reps of a few exercises

First let me say I burned more calories in this class than any other since I got my Apple Watch seven months ago. Second, the instructor was phenomenal. In a class of eight people I felt like I had a personal trainer because he kept coming by to suggest modifications to make things easier or harder. We did three repeats of a circuit with 10 stations. The third time was slightly monotonous but it was ok. Overall highly recommend!
