About this class

Drop-in, mixed-level class. Bare feet suggested. Pilates is a non-impact, non-aerobic, deep muscle conditioning method that tones and strengthens the whole body, with special emphasis on the powerhouse (the abdominal, gluteal, inner thigh and back muscles). Pilates improves flexibility and posture while strengthening the muscles deep in the torso and around the spine to help prevent injuries and alleviate chronic pain. It can help sculpt long, lean muscles from head to toe, improve coordination, correct body imbalances, and prevent osteoporosis. Pilates provides total body conditioning without the bulky results of weight training. The exercises can be modified to range from gentle to challenging, depending on your fitness level and goals. The Pilates method is so safe and so effective, it's often used in physical therapy facilities to help rehabilitate and prevent injuries. How to prepare

Please bring your own mat for mat-based classes, towel, and water bottle. Pilates, yoga and Nia are done barefoot. Please see the class description for specific class recommendations. If you wear sneakers or dance shoes to class, PLEASE be sure the soles are clean before entering the studio! New Students: New Student Forms are required of all students/clients prior to participating in any activities at MoveStudio. Arrive at least 15 minutes before class starts if you prefer to fill the new student information at the studio.

The instructor and receptionist were really nice. But this just wasnt a good fit for me. I workout to music and the ambiance was too relaxing.

Terry was a perfect Mat Pilates instructor. Incorporates strength/lengthening movements with stretching. You won't break a sweat, but it's definitely a LOT of core and I left feeling rejuvenated. Will be back!

What is ClassPass?
