About this class
Do you feel stressed, find it hard to sleep or would like to cultivate an increased self-awareness or expanded consciousness? If so, this class is for you! The first half of the class you'll explore some deeply nourishing restorative postures to de-stress and let go of the week. Then, following this gentle practice you'll move into their Yoga Nidra practice. Yoga Nidra literally means ‘Yogic Sleep’ but Yoga Nidra is not sleeping instead it is an awakening. Lying in a supported, comfortable Savasana position, it is literally a journey of sensation; you will be guided through a series of instructions for full body relaxation, enjoying the state of consciousness between waking and sleep. Benefits of Yoga Nidra: If you are tired, then Yoga Nidra will help you sleep; if you are looking to improve productivity, it will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to resume work; if you are looking to boost creativity it can be used to address specific problems or challenges in your endeavour; and if you are engaged in a spiritual quest then Yoga Nidra will facilitate that.

How to prepare
Bring a yoga mat, a mat towel and wear clothes that allow uninhibited movement. Mats are available for hire (£2) or purchase (prices vary, student discounts available). Meadowlark Yoga has changing rooms and one shower. Please bring your own bath towel and toiletries. They suggest leaving valuables at home.
