How it works

About this class

Complement your vigorous flow classes with Yin, a practice that focuses on moving beyond the fiery muscular use of Yang. In this class, you will spend most of your time in poses very low to the ground, held for longer periods of time, with a focus on stretching connective tissue (tendons, ligaments, and myofascial). This class will leave you feeling refreshed and grounded!

Yin Yoga - Level 1 with Frank
Lovely chilled class, intense in places, just got to breathe through it!

The instructor is excellent. The class is exactly as described.
Yin Yoga - Level 1 with Masako
Place was nice and so was the instructor, class was pretty full. My only complaint is my joints and lower back hurt after the class when it's supposed to be a 'restorative' yoga but maybe yin yoga and I just done mix.

A bit hidden, but once you find it a lovely studio!
Yin Yoga - Level 1 with Masako
I normally love all Mang'OH classes, but I really, really had a negative experience during this class. The room was way too hot and the poses had us stretch in such a way that it became difficult to breathe and relax. The poses were held for way too long without much guidance on correct form. I have back and neck pain, so I always try to be careful to have the right form in my poses, but the instructor was very hands-off and not helpful. She often didn't explain what we were stretching. I will not be going back to that class, ALTHOUGH I would encourage everyone to attend the Candlelight yoga classes, which I frequent and are absolutely wonderful experiences. :) The studio itself is excellent.

Not much direction but a good stretch and a relaxing session nonetheless.
Yin Yoga - Level 1 with Frank
Great for intense stretching. Not exactly vigorous. It focuses on holding poses for a long time to really stretch tendons and strengthen.
