How it works

About this class

Adult circus classes also teach body balance, conditioning, and flexibility. Rather than isolating muscle groups, circus instruction works all muscles at the same time. Students lift and hold their own body weight while building strength on the fabric, aerial hoop, and trapeze.

Fun class! Instructor was very attentive and explained each move.

When we could get the instructors attention and ask for help, the class was good, but the instructor was very hands off for a beginner class. It was also really loud in studio because people were setting up lights for a show. Someone else who was rehearsing on a different aparratus ended up helping a classmate because the instructor was busy wrangling a male student who was doing whatever he wanted and not listening to the instructor. When I asked for help it was given, but other aerial classes Ive taken the instructor at least goes around to check people are doing things right and pays attention to the ones who are having trouble. Unfortunately it looks like this is a recurring theme in the reviews. I wish there were more aerial studios participating in class pass.

Instructor/facility not prepared for the number of people in class... it was a beginner level class and the instructor spent majority of time working with more advanced students on skills that were far to advanced for a first timer. Not impressed. Wont return.

She was great! she loves her job and you can see in the way she helps beginners! very supportive class! Great workout!
Adult Beginners Aerial Silks
Really discouraging class. This is not for new people. The first time I went the people were encourage and the male teacher taught us tricks. This time around the girls were intermediate and it was so packed the instructor was unable to really help us learn.
Adult Beginners Aerial Silks
I would not recommend this class to beginners. The instructor was able to provide a lot of options for the different intermediate levels in class, but she wasnt very friendly and the class was poorly organized.
Adult Beginners Aerial Silks
It really helps you work on your upper body and core strength and was fun to take!
Adult Beginners Aerial Silks
This class is fun but super hard. You will definitely work muscles you didnt realize you had. I definitely recommend it for all.

Class was not super accommodating for true new beginners, gym hard to find... definitely a gym feel and not a studio :)
Adult Beginners Aerial Silks
The class was good, but the studio was a little dirty. The silks really didn't seem clean.
Adult Beginners Aerial Silks
I had a hard time following the moves and needed extra instruction. However because I was one of two true beginners, I didn't get as much help as needed. I would have liked a bit more structure, although I do appreciate the attempts to differentiate moves to the varying levels.

Nice classmates and instructor. Multiple levels plus a big class led to less personalization and much more downtime. I got further along and much more advanced at Moxy's beginner aerial.

The class was super fun and would do it again but they really need to make sure only beginners were in the class as the instructor used a lot of her time trying to teach two different levels since we had intermediates in the class. Also classes need to be smaller so there are enough ribbons.

Kelly was a great instructor and even though it was a large class she made sure each person had something of their own level to work on.

Super disappointing! I'd give this class zero stars if I could. The class consisted of people of a wide variety of ages and skill levels and the teacher seemed to be concerned only with the advanced students. I felt like the beginner students were completely neglected and almost a nuisance to her. She would show us a move once and then run right back to the advanced students and would be away for several minutes at a time. Lots of waiting around for further instruction. I'd consider this an "open gym time" type of situation... a complete waste of time if you're looking for a workout or had planned on learning anything...
