About this class

The Backside – We spend so much time flexed forward over our work and devises and many popular workout programs are quad-dominant and anterior muscle focused. The result? Poor posture and a weak posterior chain that passes undue stress onto the upper traps, neck, abs and low back. This 55 minute class will give special attention to the often forgotten muscle groups – lower traps, erector spinae, external obliques, glutes, hamstrings and calves/soleus. Working to strengthen your posterior chain not only gets you extremely strong, helps you improve muscle imbalances and gives you the glutes of your dreams, it can help your posture and leave you significantly less injury-prone, especially with low back, shoulder and knee injuries. Try this class, your backside will thank you!

Great workout. Fun class. Good use of time. Low impact but your abs, core, back, legs and behind will feel the burn. There’s a little arm as well. I’ll be back

Great class. Amanda is a wonderful trainer. She is very encouraging and knowledgeable. I had a back injury and she helped me protect my back and also gave me helpful modifications. I highly recommend and will be returning.

I had so much fun! Amanda is lighthearted and supportive and put a lot of effort into designing our July 4th themed class! Expect circuits of strength-based exercises, using bodyweight or very light weights and equipment like yoga balls, bosus, and trx straps. This was challenging (my hamstrings and glutes are going to be angry tomorrow) but fun!

What is ClassPass?
