How it works

About this class

Let the sounds of West Africa transport you and the fluid movements connect your mind, body and soul. In this class, you will learn tradition, strength and history through music and dance deeply rooted in the Mother of all Motherlands: Africa. This is where it all started: African dance gave birth to many of the dance styles known to man. Although most of the ''phrases'' are but fragments of what used to be, we are privileged to share them with you today. By studying these fragments of movement and the spirituality behind them, you will be exposed to an outer world experience, compelling you to reflect on your own culture and traditions.
