About this class

If you have a strong foundation, you can build anything on it. Their 40-minute Foundation class is a great place to start for those who are new to CORE40. If you are new to the studio, they strongly recommend that you take a Foundation class first so that you can get comfortable with their equipment, their 40-minute format and the fundamental exercises. However, veterans are welcome and will be challenged, we promise! You will definitely break a sweat as you strengthen, tighten, tone and stretch your body in this fun, intense, music-inspired group class.

How to prepare

WHAT TO BRING/EXPECT: • A towel, if desired (CORE40 is an ecoconscious organization and does not offer towel service due to the water waste it creates). • A water bottle, which you can fill using our filtered water system • Please wear anything you might feel comfortable doing yoga or running in • The CORE40 workout is done wearing grip socks. We have grip socks for sale at the studio • For COREcycle and COREcombo classes, spin shoes (SPD clip-compatible) or athletic shoes can be worn. Please bring your own shoes

How to get there

CLASS SWITCH POLICY: Drop-ins to a class other than your reserved time/location will be charged at $35 LATE ARRIVAL POLICY: Please arrive a few minutes prior to class start time. Your spot will be held up to the time class starts, then it may be given to a standby client. If it's your first class, you MUST arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the class start time in order to get the machine rundown. If you do not arrive early, you will be asked to reschedule your first class due to safety concerns. Refer to our FAQ section for more helpful info.

Amazing class! Cat is a wonderful teacher. She gave really great cues about where/how our bodies should be positioned, what we should feel, and accommodations. The pace is also great for people just getting back to or starting Pilates. Looking forward to my next class!

The class itself was good, however the instructor was not very helpful or engaging. As there were a few of us newbies, I watched as others (including myself) struggled on the machine with our posture and positioning. She never once helped to correct or provide guidance on our motions unlike other instructors I’ve been to. Looking forward to trying another class, however I most likely will not join with the same instructor.

Overall, I think I just need to get used to the machine, but I wasnt sure if my form was right all class so needed a bit more instruction. I was really surprised when there was no stretching before or after class.

What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a new kind of gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world.

The number of classes you can take and the number of times you can visit a studio per month depends on which plan you're on.
