About this class

We offer Foundation classes on weekends as an introduction to the machine and workout for new clients. If you have a strong foundation, you can build anything on it. Our 40-minute Foundation class is a great place to start for those who are new to CORE40. If you are new to the studio, we strongly recommend that you take a Foundation class first so that you can get comfortable with our equipment, our 40-minute format and the fundamental exercises.  But don't let the name fool you into thinking this class is only for newbies. Veterans are welcome and will be challenged, we promise! You will definitely break a sweat as you strengthen, tighten, tone and stretch your body in this fun, intense, music-inspired group class.

How to prepare

WHAT TO BRING/EXPECT... • A towel, if desired (CORE40 is an ecoconscious organization and does not offer towel service due to the water wastage it creates). • A water bottle, which you can fill using our filtered water system. • Please wear anything you might feel comfortable doing yoga or running in. • The CORE40 workout is done wearing grip socks (recommended) or barefoot. We have grip socks for sale at the studio. • Expect a high intensity class!

How to get there

LATE ARRIVAL POLICY... Please arrive a few minutes prior to any class start time. Your spot will be held up to the minute class starts, then it may be given to a standby client. If it's your first class, you MUST arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the class start time, in order to get the machine rundown. If you do not arrive early, you will be asked to reschedule your first class, due to safety concerns. Refer to our FAQ section for more detail on our late arrival policy and other helpful info.

Ines is patient and great with newbies! Very challenging but inspiring
CORE40 Foundation with Ines
Great class! It would have been a little better if the moves were demonstrated a little bit more for folks who are visual learners nonetheless the verbal direction was great, the body positioning is numbered so its easy to know exactly where your hands and feet should be.
CORE40 Foundation with Nitar
Tough! Felt really out of shape because I was using muscles that I often forget aboutb
CORE40 Foundation with Ines
Would have liked more adjustments since it was a foundation class and I could tell my form was off
CORE40 Foundation with Madison
Really fun class, and great for beginners the instructor was very attentive to correct form.
CORE40 Foundation with Jessica
Instructor was helpful though I prefer Core40 Full Body. this version of the class skipped any arm work, failed to utilize the different weight variations (which made it incredibly difficult for newbies) and there was no stretching at the end. However, for a foundational class, it's a solid intro.
