Kicked my butt in the best way.
Barre Sculpt with Krista
Challenging yet interesting class and easy to modify for low impact, which was great for me because of an injury. Ill be back!

This was my first class at Cardio-Tone. They had a sub in today, so I can't speak to the usual instructor's style. Compared to other Barre classes at other studios, there's more emphasis on repeated sets of three or four variations of movement, in keeping with the HIT athletic style. It wasn't a low-impact class-there can be a bit of jumping -but most of those instances can be modified a bit, especially if you tell the instructor that you need low-impact options.
Barre Sculpt with Krista
Krista was super friendly and had great energy, but I didn't enjoy the class. I second other reviewers who said that the movements didn't match the beat of the music at all -- and because our instructor was injured and couldn't demonstrate the moves (completely understandable), I had no idea how quickly to do the moves. Rather than counting down push ups, for example, or even saying "inhale lower, exhale up," she just told us how many seconds were left. This resulted in everyone being off beat and doing things at different paces. I'm remarkably out of shape, but feel like I'll need to do another workout today.
Barre Sculpt with Krista
The instructor was really sweet and nice. However, the class was not very motivating. The music didnt match the rhythm of the exercises and the instructor did not keep a consistent count, which made it difficult to pace the movements. The cues were confusing and I did not feel like I got a good workout. There was no cool down stretching for arms and abs (only legs) even though we targeted those muscles. The location was rather small and the bar kept moving when we were using it. It needs to be bolted tighter to the wall and stabilized.

Even though she was injured, Krista was still super energetic and positive.
Barre Sculpt with Andrea
wasn't really cardio or barre. very different from the description
Barre Sculpt with Andrea
I will never take another bar sculpt class by this instructor. She was lovely but does not know how to design an efficient and continuous class. The class is ineffective, not organized well, there is absolutely no consistency with the other teachers barre sculpt class which is crazy and intense but works. This instructor used TRX a lot at the beginning (if I wanted to take a TRX class I would sign up for a TRX class), incorporated a ton of movements with and without props that seem to come to straight out of Pop Physique studio (if I wanted to take a class at Pop physique I would take a class at pop physique), did not do nearly enough counts of movements that could be effective. The other teacher runs class in intervals of 3 or 4 major segments with repetition, and youll work and sweat your butt off. It is much more of a barre sculpt class, that will sculpt you. I was really turned off by all the similarities to a pop physique pop sculpt my class had today and came home to workout!

Andrea is fantastic! She gave me such wonderful personalized attention and I can't wait to come to this class again!
Barre Sculpt with Krista
Krista is the most delightful person! This class was sneaky-hard. I didnt expect it to work me, but it did! Really liked the small class size and friendly environment.
