About this class

The jump board is a relatively new addition to Pilates. Unlike classical Pilates, the jump board induces cardio into the workout regime. This increased heart rate flushes toxins out of the body while oxygenating the blood. The jump board is great for individuals suffering from osteoporosis, arthritis of the ankles and knees, or any other joint issues. Use of the jump board avoids putting pressure on the joints while at the same time correcting body alignment. And just as important, there is extra emphasis placed on the core, which is traditional to Pilates. Use of the jump board challenges the stability of the body, thereby helping to build a strong mind-body connection. This class is not recommended for first-timers.

Grip socks are REQUIRED for all of their Pilates classes. We do sell Toesox at all of our studios.

How to get there

Located 1 block west of the Hillcrest sign on University Avenue, between 4th and 5th Streets. Paid surface parking lot located directly behind the studio or metered street parking available. No meters required before 10am.

The facilities are great but the class was a bit odd in terms of corrections, usually on Pilates classes the teachers are constantly telling what muscles to engage and how to engage them, and have smooth transitions through exercises but I didnt hear that throughout class at all, so if you are a veteran, probably wouldnt phase you but as a beginner-to-mid level practitioner, it wasnt enough instruction

What is ClassPass?
