The class was very upbeat, physically challenging and incredibly fast paced. Very little time to go from the floor to the treadmill and not a ton of instructions on the moves, you have to just watch what everyone appears to be doing and catch on rather quickly in order to keep up. The instructor was definitely motivating and had very high energy.

Class was cut short because the other class ran over! Kinda wack considering this one is 16 points to take. We only did 1 round of tread and one round of floor — def not the normal Barry’s workout that you expect

My first Barry’s didn’t live up to the hype.. Found it difficult to hear the instructor so wasn’t able to follow the changes in speed/incline very well! Didn’t feel like I was being pushed on the tread or given tips on my form on the floor ???? disappointed but I’m sure my arms will still be aching in the morning!

The class I did was abs and arms and it was my first time at Barry’s. They tell you to use really heavy weights that I could barely lift but it was the minimum expectation. The instructor is multitasking the whole time by giving instructions to those lifting weights and at the same time giving instructions to those on the treadmills. It was incredibly confusing as a first timer. Also, because the instructor is splitting his attention between two groups, there’s little to no coaching on form. So if you’re using a weight that’s heavier than you’re used to lifting and not using correct form it’s easy to get hurt. It just wasn’t for me.
