How it works

About this class

Aerial BarreFly Take your barre fitness to the air! BarreFly is energetic, beat driven, and targets all your *important* body parts: upper body, thighs, seat, and abs. This class is your typical Barre class utilizing different equipment, the silk being one of them. Inversion therapy is integrated with the aerial silks, assisting deep stretches and true recovery. All levels welcome.

I was expecting more exercise with silks, but in general very nice studio!
Aerial BarreFly with Molly
One of the friendliest studios. The workout was like a typical barre class but you work your core a bit more because instead of the bar staying still, you’re holding a silk which moves. Also, bring a yoga mat.

The instructor seemed really bored and unhappy to be there.

It was fun but you don’t actually do barre moves using the ribbon. I thought it be more like aerial yoga where you do yoga moves in the air using the ribbon

I love aerial yoga so I figured I’d give aerial barre a try to mix it up... def don’t like it as much. Good hard workout but barre isn’t my thing. Seemed a bit disjointed and not as enjoyable as others I’ve tried. I wasn’t very motivated throughout class to push harder.

Really fun intro to silks and barre

This was a good class and some exercises I've been taught in physical therapy. I was very happy to find a class that reinforces those core stabilizer muscles. I gave it 3 stars because there wasn't much aerial at all. We used the hammock for 2 exercises and for balance in others and then got to go upside down in it at the end. I was expecting many exercises and stretches in the hammock and off the ground.

Good workout, not as fast paced as I was expecting, but enjoyable nonetheless!
