About this class

Come learn to offer yourself a daily dose of Kindness. Most of us easily offer our loved ones compassion when they experience hard times. Yet, when we personally experience challenges, we tend to be self critical & less understanding. When you combine Mindfulness (the act of noticing what is happening in the present moment) with Self-Compassion (the practice of being kind & understanding with yourself) you can learn to soothe your body, mind & spirit. Mindful Self-Compassion helps you connect deeply with yourself, experience ease-fulness, & create a deep feeling of personal freedom. It is a powerful way to support yourself in knowing that it is safe to be you, all of you, in all of your different parts & messiness. All of your being is welcome here. During this class you will be guided inward through a 30 minute Self-Compassion meditation. This will be followed by a 15 minute wisdom discussion focused on offering you practical ways to bring self-compassion into your daily life.

How to prepare

When to Arrive:Come early as sessions start on time. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes in advance. Settle in with some tea and ease into your meditation experience. What to Wear:Come as you are! The studio suggests wearing something comfortable to sit in, whether jeans, work attire or workout clothes. They ask that you remove your shoes at the door, so please bring socks or feel free to go barefoot.

How to get there

Anchor Meditation holds classes at 2118 Union Street in the Marina. Please drop in to meditate. Classes and workshops are available throughout the week. We also offer private meditations, group sessions, event rental and teacher training.

What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a new kind of gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world.

Price of membership depends on your plan type and city, and you can book and explore classes ranging from yoga to barre to cycling to martial arts – the options are truly endless!

The number of classes you can take and the number of times you can visit a studio per month depends on which plan you're on. You can figure out which plan you're on by going to your Account Settings and looking under 'Your current plan.' With hundreds of studios in our ever-growing network, you're bound to always find a new class to enjoy. When your cycle renews, you can go back and revisit those favorites yet again!
