The three essential elements of balance are alignment, strength, and awareness. Alignment of the body with gravity is crucial; it makes balance physically possible. When you balance, you align your body’s center of gravity with the earth’s gravitational field. All balancing poses can instill a deep sense of calm within yourselves. The sustained effort to center and recenter, when successful, brings many new experiences in your body and mind. These balancing poses helps prolong your lives, helping you avoid the falls that often lead to injuries and death among the elderly. This class is open to practitioners of all levels

The progression of intensity was good!

Interesting set of postures taught - but I was reprimanded multiple times for not being able to do certain postures - which didnt create a particularly inclusive yogic environment. Probably wouldnt recommend.

Excellent class for advanced students but also for the brave beginners who really want to understand more deeply into what yoga is - how its not just for the body but for the mind and the inner consciousness. Everything is explained extremely well. And just watching and listening and feeling the energies of the skilled yogi is quite the treat. Very happily surprised.
