About this class

You can do yoga! Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support to improve balance. The poses are adaptations of regular yoga poses. Chair yoga makes yoga accessible for everyone and increases flexibility, strength and body awareness. It is perfect for anyone with scoliosis, arthritis, back, hip, shoulder and knee injuries and anyone with limited mobility. In this 75 minute class, you will get all the benefits of a regular yoga class from the seat of your chair. No mat required! We will practice poses, or asanas, seated in the chair and also standing, using the chair for support. You will also learn pranayama, or mindful breathing techniques, to help promote focus, mental clarity and relaxation. We will end the class with seated savasana and a short meditation. Gentle

How to prepare

Dress comfortably. No fancy yoga outfit required. You don’t need to have your own yoga mat, you’re welcome to borrow ours anytime. Some students are sensitive to scents so please avoid perfumes or colognes.

How to get there

Our adddress is 690 Harleysville Pike. We're located in a strip of businesses called Lederach Commons. We are the first building on the left when you enter our parking lot. Other businesses here are the Lederach Post Office, Dynamic Granite, a dentist and a kitchen store.

What is ClassPass?
