About this class
Get in touch with your changing body… and with other moms-to-be in the community! Prenatal yoga classes will include various meditation, breathing, and movement exercises designed to promote relaxation, build strength and stamina, and prepare your body, mind, and spirit for labour and birth. Prenatal yoga can help to alleviate discomforts of pregnancy, such as back pain, fatigue, nausea, tension, troubled digestion, swelling, and sciatica. Enhance your body awareness and breath control to support your prenatal journey, and enjoy connecting on a deeper level with your baby and your beautiful pregnant self! Classes will be geared to all levels of ability, so no prior yoga experience is necessary. However, if you’re a seasoned yoga practitioner, don’t worry: we’ll make sure you feel challenged and supported in reaching your goals!

How to prepare
Bring a mat, water bottle and some comfy athletic wear. If you don't have a mat, ALIVE rents them for $2. There is filtered water to fill up your water bottle and tea to enjoy before and after class.
How to get there
ALIVE is at the corner of Lake Shore Boulevard West and Legion Rd on the 2nd floor above the Citrus Medical Centre. If you're walking, enter on Legion Rd under an awning that says 2240 Offices. If you're driving, there's lots of free parking under our building. Click 'Get Directions' on our website for detailed instructions on how to get in.
