Learn how to choose the right foods for staying healthy. Everything we eat has an effect on us beyond taste and pleasing our senses. Food choices can either improve or worsen our health conditions. That is why it’s so important to understand the healing powers of our food and the effects on our physical, emotional and psychological well-being. A new year is upon us! As we welcome 2019, many of us tend to take stock of our lives and health and contemplate positive changes. Don’t just contemplate! Join Pam Milask for five fun evenings for a powerful, enlightening, and joyfully interactive course on nutrition for wellness. Pam will give you a realistic and important foundation upon which you can build healthy and satisfying food habits to help you create the best health possible. The information presented will be immediately useful in your daily life. At these sessions you will learn: • How to navigate confusing and often contradictory ‘facts’ about food. • Why choosing the highest quality foods are critical to good health and how to maximize your overall well-being by understanding big DOs and DON’Ts when making food choices. And what about snacks? • How foods can increase energy, boost your immune system, reset your digestive system, protect, enhance and strengthen your body and mind. • What are the specific foods to properly address YOUR INDIVIDUAL health issues. • The facts about these hot button items and their most beneficial uses: Fats & Oils, Dairy, Sugar & Sweeteners and Salt. • The differences between various types of dietary approaches and what are the most appropriate elements of each system that may best benefit you. There will be small food tastings and samples each week. A handbook will be provided; including vitalizing recipes from Pam's forth coming book, "Creating a Healthy Kitchen: Recipes to Enhance Health" Classes will be held in the beautiful yoga space at Airmid on five consecutive Wednesday evenings 6:30-8:30pm. January 16, 23, 30, February 6, & 13. The fee is $125 for the series. Space is limited to 20 students.
