About this class

AIR® Foundation introduces new clients to aerial exercises on AIR® hammocks. This beginner class will emphasize basic alignment, foundation, and specific muscle action so that the body can learn how to balance on the AIR® hammock. AIR® Foundation is slower in pace than the traditional AIR® class, but still challenging. Regardless of its beginner pace relative to aerial exercises, AIR® Foundation will still deliver a tough workout. No experience necessary. We recommend new clients to take 5 AIR® Foundation class before graduating to AIR®. 250lb weight limit. Class begins exactly on time so late-comers will not be permitted once class commences.

How to get there

Parking is available in the studio complex. If the parking lot in front is full - you can use the Beverly Connection parking garage directly across the street from us for $1 an hour.

Anna is suuuper sweet! She welcomes me and gave off such a positive vibe. This was my first time doing aerial silks, so I did get a little lost, but she tried her best to make her way to the new comers. Something did smell like BO, and I think it was the silk hammock that I was using :/

It was an intro class where they gave no safety information. One woman hit her head because they didn’t size the hammocks, she didn’t inform anyone about their plum line, so everyone was swinging everywhere, and there was no “watch me first” expectation. I tried to have a polite safety concern conversation with the women who ran the studio, and unfortunately they were quite defensive about the whole thing. It was a great workout and as I’ve been doing aerial for a few years I felt incredible, but for an intro class it was dangerous and poorly managed.

The fabric had a terrible stench- I saw a laundry machine in the back but I wonder how often they actually switch them..

I loved it! But you need to have a lot of upper body strength and be very flexible. Simply yoga in the air.

Great class - and as a guy who does weights at the gym regularly (5 times a week) - this was hard!! Also Michelle was lovely and made it very fun and accessible!

The class was good but I could not get over how much the silks smelled. They needed to be washed because they smelled like body odor. It was hard to work out knowing that other people’s armpits had been on them and you could smell that.

What is ClassPass?
