Olympic Weightlifting at Aim Higher
About this class
Our Olympic weightlifting program will emphasize the proper form, technique, footwork, and body mechanics necessary to successfully complete the Clean, Jerk, and Snatch. The duration of this class is one hour and thirty minutes long which allows time for the proper Injury prevention warm ups. Safety is our number 1 priority

How to prepare
Please bring any drinks, snacks, and/ or workout accessories that you prefer. If you are not experienced with CrossFit movements, it is mandatory to participate in the CrossFit 101 class (Monday @ 7:00 PM) before registering for the regular CrossFit classes. Beginners may also come in to the Boot Camp classes or the CrossFit Trial Class (Saturday @ 10:00 AM) because these programs are scaled to match individual skill level. Yoga participants are encouraged to bring their own mats while they are also available for purchase at the gym.
How to get there
The facility is located on the first floor of the Merrick Point parking garage, which is directly across from Vertex Auto. The gym is NOT located in the main building! The entrance to the gym is next to the garage entrance whereas there are 2-hour visitor spots on floors 4-7 and the 8th floor is reserved for Aim Higher athletes. Paid street parking is also available, however, if you are coming in anytime after 4:00 PM they do not give tickets so technically it's "free."
