Trapeze Intro at Aerial and Floor
About this class
These classes are open to any aspiring acrobat who wants to acquire familiarity and confidence with the static trapeze: a fundamental instrument to master the techniques of aerial acrobatics! Students will be trained in the basic principles of the correct body posture on the trapeze, they will acquire familiarity with the basic climbing techniques, they will be introduced to simple figures under the bar, on the bar and above the bar, and they will develop a simple sequence alternating strength, balance and flexibility. Suggestions for new acrobats: Wear comfortable leggings (preferably cotton) and a T-shirt: make sure that your armpits and the back of your knees are fully covered. Bring an extra pair of thick socks to protect your feet and ankles. Leave behind all fears and worries and come to enjoy the upside-down world of trapeze artists!

How to prepare
Please take note the max students in a class is 12 students for both hoop & hammock intro. 2 students to an apparatus is essential because you will need to spot one another. It is recommended that you wear tank tops or sleeved tops and leggings, with elbow/knee guards and socks optional for protection against fabric or hoop burns for aerial classes. Please do not wear any jewellery and other accessories as they may catch on the apparatus and cause injury.
