Tissu/Sling - Intermediate *Instructor Approval Required* at Acrosports

*Instructor approval required for this Intermediate Class* To seek approval e-mail our Adult Program Manager firstname.lastname@example.orgTissu:This class is for the aerialist who has mastered basic and russian climbs, single and double footlocks, inversions, and single rotation drops. Students will learn intricate wraps, climbs, sequences and transitions while staying in the air longer. Previous Tissu training is required. Must be able to straddle up in the air, hip key in the air without dropping, and hold body with single knee hook and one hand. Students must also be comfortable performing single rotation drops. Sling also know as Aerial Hammock: This class will focus on open and closed sling combinations and transitions. Students will train spinning, multiple drops, as well as aerial swings, rolls and flares! Previous Sling training is required. Must be able to straddle up and do a pull over into a sling above head height as well as climb tissu, and be comfortable performing double rotation drops. It is highly recommended that all our intermediate aerial students take Stretching/Flexibility and Aerial Conditioning classes to help with skills taught in this class. Attire: Students must wear tight fitted clothing that covers their legs and torso (no bare midriff). Suggestions are: leggings, tights, tank top, tight fitted t-shirt. No zippers, buttons, sequins, or anything that will catch and rip fabric or the tape on aerial apparatus. If training Trapeze or Lyra (Hoop) socks or leg warmers are suggested for ankle protection. If training Tissu or Sling bare feet are suggested.

How to prepare
Athletic apparel is required to be worn in the gym. The midsection and chest on all individuals must be fully covered at all times. The buttocks and groin must be fully covered at all times. Jeans, khakis and pants, with or without buttons, metal zippers, metal rivets, belts and belt loops are all not permitted. We have cubbies & lockers on site, but we do not provide locks. Please bring water in a closed container. We have water fountains on each level.
How to get there
We are located at 639 Frederick Street in San Francisco, directly across from historic Kezar Stadium. AcroSport's is easily accessible by both Muni Train and Bus. There is on street parking, or if you prefer there is a paid parking lot accessible from Stanyan Street. Walk up the stairs and enter the double glass doors which will take you to our Front Office.
