About this class

Empowerment, self-expression, and inner connection are some of the powers found in the art of Oriental Dance also known as Belly Dance. Learn mindful movements that help strengthen the core, tone muscle and build self-confidence! Connect with your body through fun, thoughtful movements such as upper & lower body isolations, shimmies, hip & chest circles, and figure eights to name a few. • No dance experience necessary • All levels welcome Note: Wear comfortable clothing such as leggings or yoga pants. We recommend a hip scarf or something you can wrap around your hips to accentuate YOUR MOVES – it is part of the fun!

Perfect for a first time belly dancer. Take a scarf or wrap around skirt to make it more fun!

Instructor was sweet and encouraging. Class was interesting but not so much of a workout. Studio is so so: floor was not very clean (class was barefoot but other classes use shoes) and people in the back room was laughing loudly.

I had a substitute teacher, not Gloria. It was my first time at this studio and the poor substitute had a class full of first timers. She was really patient with all of us and adapted the class to us. Belly dancing and butt flexing is pretty hard for me since they were all unfamiliar movements to me but it was very fun.

seemed like an advanced class. also, I don't think it's appropriate to allow people to sit on the couches watching and talking. could barely hear the teacher

What is ClassPass?
